Loosen inlet using an adjustable wrench. Remove by unscrewing counterclockwise. Ensure the O-ring on the Hydrant body is properly seated.

Tighten new inlet onto Hydrant body by threading clockwise until it comes to a full stop. You may need a wrench to fully tighten.

Note: DO NOT use Teflon tape on hydrant body threads. This may cause leaks. Only use Teflon tape on plumbing connection (fitting) threads.

Connect to plumbing, then check for leaks and test Hydrant operation.

For PEX joints, wait 10 minutes for it to shrink down and set before turning on the water.

If possible, use a PEX expansion loop for easy plumbing maintenance down the road.
