Easy Retrofit

Swapped existing hose bib for a new V1 after a pipe broke over winter. Adapted to PEX and had to widen the opening out just a little bigger than existing. Easy swap, only took an hour with the right tools.

Had to install a copper nipple to the hydrant in order to **** a pex fitting to it. Had a hard time with teflon tape so it wouldn’t leak, a male end like most hose bibs would be easier. Also a spring on the cover to keep it closed would be nice. Just sugestions still a great product

V1+ = great product

Clean and sleek product, really like it. Just installed about a week ago myself. Used PEX to copper with Sharkbite fittings. Really pretty easy. Only have one thing that (so called) gave me a problem and have one item that I am curious about. The so called problem was that I couldn’t, initially, get the right angle fitting to point in the correct direction (down) once tightened, at the end of the hydrant. To loosen it to get it in the correct direction meant leaking. This was with the Aquor extra right angle fitting. So I purchased a Sharkbite right angle fitting and after turning it tighter than I would have liked — it was in the correct direction and was perfect. My one concern is that every time I disconnect the connector from the hydrant it makes a pressurized pop, not a big deal and I get it - just wasn’t expecting it. Or have I done something wrong. Tried looking at FAQ did t see anything about it, so I am guessing this is normal. Again, didn’t expect or see it in videos…. Again - overall GREAT item and will recommend it and install another!!!!

Very convenient and works exactly as shown

This hydrant is the outdoor faucet system you didn't know you needed until you get it installed and start using it.

Installation (for me) was medium-difficult due to the way my 2x4 garage wall was constructed nearly 30 years ago. With the shortest stem length and the 90 degree adapter, I was able to make this work while also adding a standard faucet outlet to the inside of my garage.

Highly recommended if you are looking for a leak-free faucet with awesome looks!
